This installment in the Lego World games series features amusing talks between characters that are spoken out loud. The characters’ physical appearance and how the story is told are taken word for word from the three films in the Lord of the Rings trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings serves as its inspiration, Peter Jackson’s adaptations serve as its primary point of reference. LEGO From Hobbiton up to Mount Doom, The Lord of the Rings chronicles the journey that Frodo Baggins and the Fellowship of the Ring take to destroy the One Ring. This marks the beginning of a lengthy and potentially dangerous journey during which the destiny of Middle Earth will be decided. Frodo is finally enlightened that the only way to destroy the calling is to cast it into Mount Doom’s lava river, also where the Ring was made. Frodo Baggins, a young hobbit from the Shire, was the one who eventually obtained the calling after their long journey. In combat, Sauron was defeated by Isildur, ruler of the humans nevertheless, Isildur chose not to destroy the Ring and kept it for himself. Over two thousand years ago, the Dark Lord Sauron fashioned the One Ring to exercise dominion over the other rings of power distributed to the races of Middle Earth.
